LINKS ACROSS CONTINENTSFollow the link to read all about the partnership and more about the schools supported by the Alex Fundwww.rgs-guildford.co.ukPartnership agreements have been signed between the schools in Besisahar supported by the Alex Fund with the Royal Grammar School, Guildford and Lanesborough School, Guildford. This special relationship will enable students in Nepal and the UK to learn more about each others' lives and enrich their studies. The partnership project is currently led at the RGS Guildford by economics teacher, Miss Sophie Blair.A huge vote of thanks to the staff of the RGS for their commitment and enthusiasm in getting the partnership going, and for the very generous support to the Fund from the staff, students and parents at the RGS.On July 6th 2011, across the thousands of miles, students in Nepal and Guildford shared their school day, with joint competitions, projects, special cuisine. Since then 'Nepal Days' have since become regular fixtures at the RGS.In October 2011 staff from the RGS made a further visit to the schools in Besisahar cementing the relationship between the schools.March 2012 saw the visit of teachers from both schools in Besishar to Guildford, staying with teachers in their homes and spending time in classes and events at RGS and Lanesborough to share experiences in teaching and learning across continents. In January 2013 former RGS Vlth form students travelled to Besisahar with the AV Group to work, like Alex did as volunteer teachers, cementing the partnership.Follow the link to read all about the partnership:www.rgs-guildford.co.uk

These were very warmly received by the schools, providing extremely useful expertise and skill in a very important area - thank you Alison - a huge contribution!
